I’ve moved back to Calgary, and am now coming out of my dissociation and returning back to my body. Taking my beloved items out of the multiple UHAUL boxes unpacked from a 20′ truck feels like Christmas. I realize (it helps having a pause on tarot reading and hoarding decks) that I have waaaay too many decks to be truly utilized to their full potential. But like it or not, I love my decks and am always up to purchasing a new deck for my collection. The excitement I feel for being able to reboot my reading practice here in my new/old hometown, is invigorating and provides me with something fun to look forward to other than unpacking. I have felt that I will have a better opportunity to meet clients here than in West Kelowna. No offence to the Central Okanagan, but I’m an Air sign, who has felt suffocated by the surrounding mountainscape, the heat and inevitable smoke every summer. I feel freer to play here (despite the daunting prospect of driving to and from Red Deer daily) but we’ll see what happens. I will leave it up to the powers that be to make a way for me to do more of what is fun and helpful to others. My apothecary is set up, my altar erected, my crystals set out and my room smelling like a meditative sanctuary of prayer.
Returning to my birthplace feels like coming full circle and I can’t help but feel the constant presence of my ancestors welcoming me home.
